DTG Printing stands for Direct to Garment Printing, which is a digital technique that involves jetting or spraying of special inks from print heads directly onto the surface of textiles, most notably t-shirts. DTG printing allows for unlimited full color in a single pass, unlike other T-shirt printing methods which are limited and typically charge an additional fee per color.
In DTG Printing, the quality of the image printed on the fabric is much better and sharper, unlike traditional methods like screen printing or heat press.
Computer screens and mobile devices display graphics in RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) and at 72 dpi (dots per square inch).
Printers will print in what is called CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) and are displayed at 300 dpi. So in essence, computer screens are able to produce much brighter and sharper image than what is able to be printed on to garments. Also, screen resolution, colors, and brightness varies from screen to screen, so what you see on the screen will not necessarily be exactly the way the final product will be on your T-Shirt.
Each T-shirt is made to order, so it will have to go through the production process, and typically takes about 3-7 work days to complete, depending on current workload.
The T-shirt first has to be sent to production to be made first, which takes 4-7 work days typically, then shipping varies.
Depending on where you are located of course, dictates length of time until you receive you T-shirt, but you will notified via email with a tracking number once production is finished.
Each Shirt is made to customer order, This also means that returns and exchanges are not supported if you ordered the wrong size, color, or simply changed your mind. So please be mindful to make sure ahead of time that you know the size you wear, and the color choices you prefer ahead of time.
